L'ILLUSION ATHEE est un drole vidéo qui parle de plusieurs points que les chrétiens feraient comme circular reasoning (le dieu doit donc exister parce que le bible dit que le dieu a écrit le bible) et que l'universe a environ 6000 ans (ça vient du bible) quand le science nous a enseigné qu'elle a quelques million ans (pourquoi? parce que il faut pour la lumière à voyager avant nous pouvions les voir). maintenant, qui est illusioné?

L'ILLUSION DE DIEU par RICHARD DAWKINS. j'ai reussi finalement à télécharger et écouter une célèbre et puissant oeuvre de m. richard dawkins - l'illusion de dieu. je l'ai obtenu d'un autre site athée - des films athée. il fait un important cas contre le concept des dieux et déesses. j'essayerai de poser chaque point ici ... il y a des vidéos et des livres-audios sur l'internet. j'aime les uns où les étudiants de l'université liberty, une université qui était fondé par le prédicateur faliwell lui-même, lui demandaient des questions.

1. the first cause fallacy - that all things came from something then fails to explain the source of the source. preposterous as it seems, theists would then ignore their original premise. and accept that their god is just above all that. a great misunderstanding of the process of bio evolution. nothing is left to chance in science. i am blaming the promotion of ignorance of theist schools on this. as well as the government from allowing these schools to teach fairy tales as if it were in fact, fact.

2. morality is darwinian. the morality in the bible is in fact, if one reads it, horrific. i recommend the book of leviticus. apologists would often rationalize that is was the culture at that time. if indeed the bible is the word of god then it becomes black and white. there is no arguing against the promotion of sexism, cruelty, slavery, rape, intolerance among other things - ignorance.

3. l'univers a milliards et milliards ans. il n'a pas 6 mille ans. the sun's light takes a few minutes to get to earth. the sunlight that we see in a clear day is a few minutes in the past. the same is true with other stars which are billions and billions of light years away. i dont know the specifics but if we compute the light years these light travelled, it would show thats it took a long time to get to us. a lot more than just 6000. this is in the department of astronomy. other sciences confirm it. geology the study of rock formations and the earth also verify that the earth is A LOT more than 6000 years old. archaeology, the existence of hominid and dinosaur fossils. all point to one obvious point. le bible a tort.

4. prayers do not work. (a) prayers in the sense that it intercedes against harm and illness etc. people only take notice of the times that it does work and ignore the times that it doesn't, which is in the case of the sick, is comparatively not successful. there have been numerous controlled environment researches on the effects of prayer and there is little doubt that it does nothing. (b) prayers in the sense that it is used as a conduit to the supernatural. bush argued that his god told him to attack iraq. that was one of his major arguments for the war, to which dawkins replied in retrospect, wouldn't it make more sense if his god told him that there wasnt any WMDs in iraq .. saving him and his administration, the americans, not to mention the numerous victims of their decisions, the disaster that is what we see now in liberated iraq.

misguided sense of humor

the christian god if you have truly read their bible exhibits a lot of human qualities. anger, spite, favoritism. among others. it is quite familiar as let us say the roman gods which also exhibited human qualities. this is one of the more obvious patterns that people continue to fail to see/observe. i was showing a baptist friend this picture of ganesh the elephant hindu god and he immediately refered to it as a mythology then he went on about how scary it was to look at. it was a fat man with an elephant's head with four arms sticking out from the body. it was holding different sorts of items. much similar to statues of catholic saints holding bread and the like. some points i wanted to make (1) this baptist immediately regarded ganesh to a myth. when it is a recognized religion in india. similar to what christians have done to all other religions. similar to what christians have done to each other. we but only we are the true christians. we but only we are the true religion. they often claim. (2) this baptist also made very insulting remarks as to the aesthetic of ganesh. for me rather, i thought the image of a crucified christ, all bloodied dying and suffering, was more horrific. ganesh is pleasant with the characteristic benevolence of elephants, i thought. usually calm and foreboding. to understand an atheist. a theist must understand how they view the religion of other theists, of other faiths. then apply the same amount of skepticism to their own.

another observation. i find that these christians would often desecrate without remorse religious symbols of other religions. i brought a replica of the mecca, sacred to mohameddans, and when i turned around, they opened and put all sorts of rubbish in it. it was very disturbing. how these christians behave. and they have the audacity to look down on other religions. the same thing happened when i brought some buddhist icons (wealth, wisdom, prosperity). they drew on them. it was insulting. even though i am not a buddhist nor am i a mohameddan. at the very least, it was a principle of ownership. they should have had respect to the things they do not possess. i understand that it was all just part of a joke. but the joke is really on them and their religion which arrogantly claim the moral superiority when the evidence is quite clear and quite often that it is deceiving, disrespectful, intolerant, archaic, barbaric and misguided. la vie est court et tout est pardonné.

1. its called adult thumb sucking (ats). it helps me to sleep and relax. i do not usually hide it amongst friends. i do not know what it means. i have tried searching the internet for more information and it turns out, its just a harmless habit that i picked up when i was a baby. and then i havent learned to let it go. harmless in such a way that i do not see the urgent need to stop. this is the first time that i have acknowledged it in public.

2. my atheism. for me, this is not wierd. for most people, its a subject of debate, insult, conversation, pity, ridicule, harassment. at the very least, people, including me, are sensitive about it. it is what makes sense. i dont profess to know everything. but i am sure that there is no heaven above the clouds. or that what makes it rain is precipitation. and that science have made some relevant discoveries about the natural world leaving behind so many things born out of superstition.

3. i dont like parties or events where im forced to attend and mingle with strangers. i feel it is a waste of time. or i get bored easily. i feel nervous. the feeling to leave is stronger depending on who i am with. and strongest when i am by myself. also i feel if i stay longer that everyone would be talking about me. asking me the wrong questions. and then eventually judge me. but perhaps these are just rationalisations to hide behind. i think i have a bit of a social anxiety disorder.

4. i like smells. different sorts of smells. not synthetic. do not ask me to elaborate.

5. i enjoy my alone time. i like driving in an empty highway listening to some loud fun music. the windows open so the wind would blow on my face a bit. i spend a lot of hours in front of the computer. at work and then at home. on the weekends unless i am in class learning. i like to read. nothing in particular. just read. bits and pieces online. so when asked what i do to enjoy my time. i say i enjoy learning this and that. not perhaps the kind of activity people expect to hear. there is a conscious relief that i do not have to entertain people. i am fatigued otherwise.

STARCRAFT2 est presque là! regarde des vidéos et des arts sur le site officiel du jeu de stratégie du siècle. je ne le crois pas. après un longtemps que j'attendais. ils sont presque là (ils ont commencé pour sur) - les terrans, les zergs, et ma favoris race LES PROTOSS. le graphisme est nettement beaucoup mieux. ils utilisent censément un nouveau moteur graphique 3D. il y a quelque nouveaux unités protoss. je voudrais vous presente -- LE VAISSEAU-MERE .. j'ai reussi à emprunter un livre de l'école. je voudrais savoir si je peux le faire. même que je suis un debutant encore, j'ai supposé que c'est une autre façon que je peux ameliorer mon français. le livre est intitulé l'homme que personne ne connaissait (the man no one knew) par laurence meynell. c'était originaire d'un livre anglais. j'etais juste une première page et je trouve que je me référe sans cesse le dictionnaire. je suis vraiment juste un debutant. voici sont quelque des mots que j'ai trouvé: le planton (orderly), ressentir (to experience), melanger (mix), l'effroi (horrors), l'apréte (harshness), les étals (stands), entourer (surround), cotoyer (rub elbows with). je suis allé à la page suivante et j'ai trouvé de plus mots que je ne comprends pas. hehehe. alors, j'ai décidé à sa place, à retourner le livre. c'était juste trop difficile.

l'une des façons de préserver tes jeux vidéos est d'utiliser les CDs/DVDs virtuels. je sais qu'il existe des des logiciels sur l'internet mais je n'en ai pas encore trouvé, surtout quand comme moi tu achètes les jeux vidéos originaux afin de soutenir les sociétés qui les developpent (pour qu'ils puissent créer les futur jeux). nous voudrions les stocker pour toujours. je parle des jeux vidéo comme civilisation par sid meier via firaxis et les jeux vidéo par blizzard (warcraft et starcraft).

qu'est-ce que la differénce entre un culte et un religion? les cultes ont les caractéristiques suivantes au-dessous (selon cette liste sur BBC. il s'agit du culte de scientologie en particulier mais c'est importante aussi pour nous .. je pense). tu remarquerais que tous les religions sont coupable (guilty) des items sur la liste. surtout le culte dans les philippines qui s'appelle iglesia ni manolo. ma question: qu'est-ce que notre gouvernement démocratique fait avec ce culte? quand on sait qu'ils sont anti-démocratique.

la théocratie

premièrement, je voudrais souhaiter ma mère une bonne fête des mères. mais je me demande si nous avons des fêtes pour les oncles, les tantes, les cousins, les frères, les soeurs, les grand-parents? je souhaite qu'il y aura des fêtes pour les gens de science, leur découvertes comme décartes, darwin, newton, pascal, einstein, stephen hawking, etc (surtout ceux qui viennent de mon pays et c'est assez bizarre car je ne sais personne).

deuxièmement, nous avons besoin de combattre la théocratie. pourquoi? nous avions vu ce que se passe dans moyen orient avec leur sharias. nous avions vu que s'est passé pendant le moyen-age en europe. et nous avions vu ce qu'ils ont fait dans les états du sud (des états-unis) avec les fondamentales. c'est ce que se passera avec nous si nous ne les arretons pas. c'est maintenant ou jamais. il y a quatre groupes religieux (selon bulatlat.com) que nous avions besoin d'arrêter. tous les quatre courent sous le système party list. (1) buhay = el shaddai (2) cibac = jesus is lord movement (3) alagad = iglesia ni manolo (4) bangon pilipinas = jesus is lord movement. il faut que nous étudions l'histoire du monde pour que nous réaliserons que la théocratie est mal (tort). ces groupes sont contre les droites de femmes pour l'avortement légal, la contraceptif, le planning familial, et le divorce. ils sont opposé à la démocratie quand leur members votaient en groupe. la choix est parti à leur dirigeants religieux. ils sont opposé à l'égalité de tous êtres humain. ils sont opposé à la gestion de la population qui, je pense, est le plus grand problème de notre pays. ils veulent continuer à marginaliser les citoyens qui ne sont pas membres de leur églises respectif. nous l'avions vu dans notre histoire. nous continuons à voir cette situation dans le présent. sans cette connaissance, nous continuerons à faire les même fautes. voici la liste entière de groupes party-list.

je recommende les groupes suivants: BAYAN MUNA qui est une partie socialiste (je pense) pour l'égalité et land reform et la protection des droites humaines. GABRIELA qui protège les droites de femmes, LADLAD qui protège les droites d'homosexuels, et AGHAM qui protège l'intégrité de la science et la téchnologie. finalement, nous avons besoin de demander cette question. qu'est-ce qui s'est passé avec la séparation d'église et d'état dans les philippines?

la promotion de l'ignorance.

j'ai trouvé cet article sur l'internet. et c'était une partie de la conversation que j'ai eu avec john et rob. la promotion de l'ignorance. dans l'article, nous pouvions voir que l'église catholique a voulu cacher la vérité que rizal était contre l'église. je souviens quand j'avais étudié jose rizal et la professeur a minimisé ce fait important.

au travail, des amis continuent à demander pourquoi j'étais athée ou peut-être agnostique (comme rob a mis cet idée). ils continuent à créer de interessant idées, comme j'avais un grand problème dans le passé. (mais qui n'a pas des problèmes dans le passé?). ou que j'étais une vierge. HAHAHA .. moi une vierge?? j'en ris .. n'importe comment, je le leur ai expliqué que je suis un athée parce que de la même raison pourquoi ils ne croient pas en ganesh le dieu éléphant; ou le plus puissant zeus, le dieu de tonerre, ou le plus fascinant isis la déese d'égypt. quand on accepte la foi comme la preuve, alors on doit accepter tous incluant les fées, les nains, les dragons, et les unicorns.

quite a few

let me begin with the personal project i am currently working on. it is internally called "the circle 8 project". this is not an original idea. i got it from another freeware called redblade. its a popular tool to create characters in dungeons and dragons. but i found it to be very limited. and also, the interface is a bit lacking. redblade even has a community dedicated to its development. they are at a point of coming out with a really great version soon. but in the meantime. it wouldnt hurt if i get to practice C# developing this tool. the term "circle 8" came from what i used to call my buddies from school. we numbered 8. and sort of formed a "circle" of gamers. the name stuck even after 10 years being away. which brings me to the next paragraph .. ;p

après une décennie, je suis rentré à manille. j'ai grandi dans cette ville avant nous avons déménagé à saint pierre. quand je suis revenu il y a quatre ans. c'était après j'ai sorti ma vie dans les états-unis. je m'étais senti vide et seul. je m'etais fatigué. j'étais perdu. et maintenant, je reviens. est-ce que je suis chez moi? j'ai un rendez-vous avec des amis. nous visiterons les endroits où nous avons passé nos jours, nos après-midis, nos nuits. the good old days. à l'universite où nous avons étudié, aux bureaux où nous avons travaillé etc etc ..

"quite a few" is an odd expression. it means a "lot" or sizable even though there is the word few in it which is the source of contention among non native english speakers. it was one of the things that we (rob john and i) discussed about at starbucks 6750. it became the catch phrase of the night. a long time since ive been here. makati. 6750 is one the original starbucks in makati (might even be the whole country). i distinctly remember when it opened and i had just arrrived from another city where there was a starbucks. and i was bragging that i had just been in one. it was a ridiculous notion to be proud about. anyway .. it had been a long time as well, since i have had a good conversation. it ranged on many things of interest. like lovelife (which im not very open about except with a few people), work, atheism, meditation, eastern religions and a suprise subject of how does one deal with real life wackos. the debate was friendly and everyone contributed. i wish i could have something like this more frequently but of course, maybe thats why its so special. it doesnt happen as often as we would like. so then, i offer a toast as tribute to the unknown gods, to like minds, and to the future.

c'est assez stupide quand on généralise sur les habitants d'une ville ou les gens d'une certaine race comme les tagalogs. les gens qu'ils parlent ne sont pas même de cela ville. ces gens doivent être d'une autre province. c'est évident quand tu écoutes leurs accents. un matin, nous prenons notre petit-déjeuner et mes amis suggeraient que les manilenos aiment bien les acteurs dans les philippines. et qu'ils sont stupide parce que ils votent pour d'eux. c'est vrai. mais ces gens ne sont pas de manille. ils viennent des provinces (probincianos) comme cebu. on ne doit pas généraliser encore avec les actuers qui court dans les elections. comme citoyens des philippines, ils ont le droite. et puis, mes amis agissaient comme ils étaient parfait. j'ai l'entendu beaucoup d'occasions dans le passé. hehehe alors, je pouvais dire pour maintenant que c'est un temps parfait que je sors. mon père est cebuano. ma mère est manillienne. et je suis philippin.
