je viens de voir le film blind date avec chris pine -- le nouveau kirk du vaisseau interstellaire entreprise. et je ne pourrais pas aider moi-meme de comparer les deux. qui est plus le mieux kirk, chris pine ou william shatner. et quel sens est un meilleur capitain peut-etre qui est plus charmant? ^_^
et maintenant, je me demande qui est le plus meilleur capitain? -- picard vs kirk vs archer vs janeway vs sisko. et puis, qui est le plus meilleur sous-chef (second in command)? -- riker vs spock vs tpol vs chacotay vs kira.
bien sur, j'aime plus le TNG pour que je choisi picard et riker. picard parce qu'il était diplomatique et le plus cultivé. et puis riker parce qu'il était un cowboy qui compense ce que picard a manqué. bonne fusion.
si j'étais un personnage à startrek. je serais lt. cmdr. barclay parce que je manque de confidence comme lui. et j'imagine moi -même en passant à l'holodeck tous les temps. je lirais des livres que parlent de comment eviter l'addiction du pont d'hologramme (holodeck addiction). je peux imaginer mes programmes qui sont à propos de sex et porn. je négligerais mes repas et je masturberais toute la journée. je suis malade ..

après 14 ans
nous avons visité l'université le dernier dimanche comme nous avons faite quand c'est fev 14 il y a 14 ans. ^_^ il y a beaucoup de changes - un nouveau blanc batiment entre SPO et chess plaza. the la sallian et ang pahayagang plaridel partagent un nouveau bureau sur le 5ème étage (où ils ont eu des tables pour le tennis de table). malate literary journal a son propre nouveau bureau aussi à coté de plaridel.
des souvenir doux-amers de quand j'étais dans le vigntaine m'ont rapporté aux années 90. la tristesse de voyant tout le monde disparait un par un parce qu'on a besoin d'obtenir leur diplomes.
we chance on one of the new generation of plaridel editors (leo was his name) who took us to meet the other current editors. i saw our old lockers with vandalism of names of past editors written. a mark that would remain i suppose forever as long as they keep those lockers. it was amusing to see familiar names whom i was sure the current batch had no idea who they were.
i even signed up on their current warbook. or as we had known it. artist logbook. (sigh). time flies indeed. i wonder if there were dnd (donjons et dragones) players who play now. the good old days.
i miss college. i miss hanging out at plaridel. but memory tells me that during the end days that fewer and fewer people who i knew came to hang out. until no one was really coming anymore. this is not about the place with lockers, the long wooden table in the middle of the room, the door with the glass frame window. this is about the memory of friends. of times well spent together.

this is where i suppose it differs. between science and religion. science in the face of evidence that goes against a theory will readily admit her mistake. fundamentalism on the otherhand despite, will cling to its belief because of its nature. so it is worth mentioning, 200 years has passed and no evidence contrary to the theory of evolution has surfaced. but in fact has been constantly been supported by the vast amount of research from various branches of science.

je suis en train de lire le selfish gene de richard dawkins. j'ai emprunté de rob qui est un libre penseur aussi. we have heard much about it from the media and we might have read bits and pieces of it from print but still popular media fails to capture its immensity leaving behind people like me - isang karaniwang mamamayan lamang - the urge to dig deeper but is not quite sure how to go about it.
probably the long term harm i was thinking about having been schooled in catholic schools where science is practically ignored. i do not want to be ignorant.
